ANDRITZ to supply a 50-MW PowerFluid circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boiler to Toyo Engineering Corporation in Japan, the company’s 15th order

(PRESS RELEASE) GRAZ, 8-Aug-2022 — /EuropaWire/ — ANDRITZ GROUP, Austria-based international technology group active in the supplies of plants, has announced yet another order from Toyo Engineering Corporation, a Japanese engineering, procurement and construction company, for the delivery of a 50-MW PowerFluid circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boiler on EPS basis. The boiler will be installed in a biomass power plant in Gobo, Wakayama Prefecture, in Japan and scheduled for operation in 2025.

ANDRITZ will supply a biomass boiler and flue gas cleaning system to Wakayama Gobo Biomass Power Plant G.K. in Japan.

The ANDRITZ PowerFluid (CFB) will be designed with a reheat system and high steam parameters and integrated into a biomass-fired power generation facility to be fueled by wood pellets and palm kernel shells. With its state-of-the-art technology, it is the perfect solution to meet CO2 reduction targets and contribute towards carbon neutrality in Japan. The biomass power plant will be capable of supplying power for roughly 110,000 Japanese households.
