Skanska Secures $98 Million Contract for Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital Tower Renovation

(IN BRIEF) Skanska has entered into a $98 million contract with Bon Secours Mercy Health for the renovation of the Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital Tower in Paducah, Kentucky, USA. The project entails the modernization and refurbishment of the Hospital Tower, including the addition of a new Central Utility Plant. Renovation work will encompass the installation of new windows, heating and cooling systems, accessible bathrooms, and a comprehensive overhaul of the second and seventh floors. Additionally, a 975 square-meter (10,500-square-foot) central utility plant will be constructed to house equipment for converting the tower to a more efficient hydronic system. Construction is scheduled to commence in October 2023, with completion anticipated in the second quarter of 2026. The contract is worth USD 98M, about SEK 1.0 billion, which will be included in the US order bookings for the fourth quarter 2023.
