Logicor Raises Funds for Horizons Scholarship Program Through Charity Cycling Event

(IN BRIEF) Logicor, together with its business partners, has raised PLN 31,000 (EUR 7,000) for the Horizons Scholarship Program by the Roman Czernecki Educational Foundation (EFC). The initiative was carried out through “Race’n’Raise,” a charity cycling race covering a 300 km route in the Bory Tucholskie forest in northern Poland. Participants aimed to complete as many kilometers as possible, with Logicor pledging to donate PLN 5 to the Horizons Scholarship Program for each kilometer covered by an individual cyclist. The EFC Foundation’s Horizons program supports young individuals from small towns who aspire to pursue education in major cities. The scholarship provides financial assistance throughout their high school education, enabling them to develop their interests and passions, including support for language learning and certification exams.

(PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 5-Jul-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — Logicor and its business partners have collected PLN 31 000 (EUR 7 000) for the Horizons Scholarship Program by the Roman Czernecki Educational Foundation (EFC).

For the second time, Logicor  was an organizer of “Race’n’Raise” – a 300 km charity cycling race in the heart of Bory Tucholskie forest in northern Poland.

The goal was to cover as many kilometers of the planned route as possible. Logicor committed to donate PLN 5 to the Horizons Scholarship Program run by the EFC Foundation for each kilometre traveled by a single participant.

The EFC Foundation, through the Horizons program, supports young people from small towns who want to continue their education at a high school in a big city. The Horizons Scholarship is awarded for the entire period of high school education and students are financially supported to develop their interests and passions. This includes financing for learning at a language school and exams for certificates.

Aleksandra Saczuk, President of the Board of the EFC Foundation, said: “Thanks to initiatives such as Race’n’Raise powered by Logicor, non-profit organizations cooperating with businesses can support important charity initiatives.

“Using the experience of the Horizons Scholarship Program, we have also launched scholar-ships for young people from other countries and underprivileged backgrounds.

Thanks to the involvement of the Logicor team and their business partners who participated, the funds collected will allow us to support specific young persons – to cover the costs of their annu-al scholarship that will enable them to study and develop in a high school in Poland.”

Michał Ptaszyński, Country Manager Poland at Logicor, said: “We are thrilled that our Race’n’Raise charity initiative has grown significantly and is contributing to new life changing initiatives.

“I want to thank everyone who took part in the race. It is a perfect example of a business event combining sport with an essential charity initiative.”
