Logicor Expands Its Presence in Italy with Sustainable Warehouse Development in Rolo

(IN BRIEF) Logicor, a prominent player in European logistics real estate, has commenced the construction of a new environmentally conscious warehouse spanning approximately 13,600 sqm at its logistics park in Rolo (RE), Italy. The project, set to be finished by the end of 2024, will enhance the Rolo logistics hub, totaling around 130,000 sqm of warehouses and marking Logicor’s largest hub in Italy. Located strategically in Reggio Emilia, the site provides easy access to major Italian markets and highways. The sustainable building project includes green features like a 1 MW photovoltaic system, LED lighting, charging stations, and an NFPA sprinkler system, aiming for at least a BREEAM Very Good rating. Logicor is collaborating with BEG Ingénierie Italia and Progeca srl on this expansion, demonstrating its commitment to growth in vital Italian logistics locations.

(PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 30-Jan-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Logicor, a leading owner, manager and developer of European logistics real estate, has started the development of a new c.13,600 sqm warehouse at its logistics park in Rolo (RE), consolidating its presence in Italy, one of the key markets for the real estate logistics sector.

The project, which will be completed at the end of 2024, involves the construction of a new  sustainable warehouse on a c.22,300  sqm industrial site owned by the Mazer fund, a Logicor-sponsored closed-end real estate fund managed by Kryalos SGR.

The new building will further expand the Rolo logistics hub, which includes c.130.000 sqm of warehouses, representing the largest hub in Logicor’s Italian portfolio.

The Rolo Park is in Reggio Emilia, a strategic location with access to the main markets in Italy. It is 75 kilometers south of Bologna and 38 kilometers north of Modena and is just a few minutes away from the entrance of the A22-Autostrada del Brennero, one of the main Italian highway arteries that connects the A1-Autostrada del Sole to Austria and Germany. The site is also just over 70 kilometers from the airports of Bologna and Verona.

The property includes several environmental characteristics, including a photovoltaic system of 1 MW, LED lighting, charging columns and an NFPA sprinkler system.

Once completed the building will target at least BREEAM Very Good.

Logicor is working on the project with the general contractor BEG Ingénierie Italia and the project and construction manager Progeca srl.

The logistics park in Rolo represents one of the most successful development projects carried out in recent years by Logicor in Italy.
