(PRESS RELEASE) ARNSTORF, 26-Sep-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — The privately run Hospital Alemán in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires wants to offer its nearly 20,000 patients a year the highest standards – both medically and architecturally: Lindner realised the extension of the new operating theatres together with KARL STORZ.

For Better Healthcare

With the “Juncal” extension, the renowned hospital for oncology and highly complex surgery is pursuing state-of-the-art concepts in terms of sustainability and technology. The private hospital aims to improve medical care in Argentina and exceed the standards of the International Joint Commission for accredited hospitals. Covering 11,000 m², spread over eight floors and two basements, the private clinic provides space for around 200 beds. It also includes a modern surgical department with ten new operating rooms, an auditorium for teaching and research activities, and a hospital pharmacy with an automated distribution system.

Innovative Technology and Design

Together with KARL STORZ, Lindner Cleanrooms was responsible for fitting out the new operating theatres. While KARL STORZ took over the project management with the endoscopic equipment as well as the equipment with high-resolution monitors in the operating theatres, Lindner was commissioned with the installation of hygiene-compliant ceilings incl. lights, walls and doors. Some project-specific special solutions were also used in the Hospital Alemán: Modular glass partitions with fancy digital printing now provide separation in the operating theatres and at the same time represent a real visual highlight. Automatic revolving and sliding doors as well as around 1,100 m² of wall claddings made of Kerrock complement the rooms. In cooperation with Bender, Lindner also supplied modern touch panels: They show which patient is currently in the operating theatre.

Established Lindner Cleanroom Solutions in Use

In addition to some special solutions, Lindner installed proven systems such as the Lindner clip-in cassette ceilings in the hospital. The Clip K3 cleanroom ceiling has a clip-in/swing-down function as well as a circumferential 45° bevel for optimum sealing capability. In addition, the ceiling can be combined with all common installation components. Thus, the ceiling system in the Argentinian hospital was also supplemented with numerous luminaires from Lindner Luminaires: from RGBW luminaires to X-ray warning luminaires for recessed wall mounting to LED recessed luminaires with a high protection rating. The latter provide high illuminance throughout the operating theatre – ideal for precise and concentrated work in the OR.
