INEOS Publishes Global Sustainability Report: Leading in Safety, Climate Action, and Circular Economy

This report, prepared in accordance with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and externally assured by KPMG, highlights the company’s outstanding performance in various areas, including safety, climate action, circular economy, and health and safety excellence.

Continued Commitment to Net-Zero Emissions: INEOS reiterates its commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 and has made substantial progress towards this goal. The company has developed roadmaps in each business segment to reduce operational emissions by 33% by 2030, compared to 2019 levels.

Promoting a Sustainable Circular Economy: INEOS is dedicated to driving the transition to a circular economy, where resources are optimally utilized and waste is minimized. The company has exceeded its pledge to increase the circularity of its plastics by 2025 and has already introduced more than 30 new product grades containing at least 50% recycled content. Leading in Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS): INEOS is at the forefront of major CCUS projects, including Project Greensand, the Scottish Acorn cluster, and Antwerp@C. The Greensand project, led by INEOS, successfully captured CO2 from its Antwerp site, transported it to the Danish North Sea, and injected it into a depleted oil well for permanent storage—a groundbreaking achievement.
