Prudential plc Appoints Anette Bronder as Chief Technology & Operations Officer to Drive Strategic Objectives

(IN BRIEF) Prudential plc announces the appointment of Anette Bronder to the newly established role of Chief Technology & Operations Officer, effective May 1st, reporting directly to CEO Anil Wadhwani and joining the Group Executive Committee. In this role, Bronder will lead the Technology and Operations functions, overseeing the definition of target operating models to enhance financial and operational efficiency across Prudential’s 24 markets while prioritizing customer experience. The appointment underscores Prudential’s commitment to its business strategy announced in August 2023. Bronder’s extensive experience, including roles at KPMG and Swiss Re, positions her well to drive operational excellence and strategic growth within the organization. This move allows current Technology head Solmaz Altin to focus on Prudential’s Health business, highlighting the company’s strategic realignment and focus on key growth areas.

(PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 20-Mar-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Prudential plc (‘Prudential’, the ‘Company’ or the ‘Group’) announces the appointment of Anette Bronder to the newly created position of Chief Technology & Operations Officer. Ms Bronder will report to Chief Executive Officer, Anil Wadhwani, and will join the Group Executive Committee on 1 May, based in Hong Kong.

In this newly created role, Ms Bronder will be responsible for Technology and Operations focusing on defining the organisation’s target operating models to drive financial and operational discipline, maximising economies of skill and scale across 24 markets as well as elevating customer experience. This appointment is another step towards strengthening the capabilities across the organisation, in line with Prudential’s business strategy that was announced in August 2023.

Solmaz Altin, Managing Director, Strategic Business Group, was previously responsible for Technology at Prudential, successfully building and executing on a new strategy and organisational model. Mr Altin will now focus his efforts on growing Prudential’s Health business and running his Strategic Business Group. Current Chief Information Technology Officer Ashley Veasey will report to Ms Bronder as they continue to enhance the Technology function.

Ms Bronder joins Prudential from KPMG, where she is a Partner working on digital transformation programmes in the insurance industry. Prior to this she was Group Chief Operating Officer at Swiss Re and has also served in senior positions across the technology and telecommunications sectors.
