(PRESS RELEASE) HELSINKI, 19-Dec-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — Cargotec Corporation (HEL: CGCBV), a Finnish company that makes cargo-handling machinery for ships, ports, terminals and local distribution, announces that its subsidiary Kalmar, has recently finalized an agreement with Super Terminais Ltd. (Super Terminais), a valued, long-standing customer in Brazil. Under this agreement, Kalmar will provide an array of equipment and services for Super Terminais’ Manaus terminal in northern Brazil. Super Terminais is well-regarded for its operational efficiency and strong commitment to sustainability.

The order encompasses four Kalmar reachstackers, two Kalmar empty container handlers, eight Kalmar Essential terminal tractors, and the Kalmar Insight performance management tool. This significant order was recorded in Cargotec’s Q3 2023 order intake, and the delivery of the machinery is set for Q3 2024.

Super Terminais has a clear mission to become the most efficient private terminal within the Manaus Industrial Complex. The company is part of a larger group with over three decades of experience in the transportation and logistics sector. Recently, Super Terminais invested in expanding its operations by adding 180 meters of wharf space. The new Kalmar equipment will play a vital role in supporting this expansion initiative, complementing Super Terminais’ existing fleet of Kalmar machinery.

Marcello Di Gregorio, Managing Director at Super Terminais, expressed his confidence in Kalmar’s products, stating, “We currently operate a fleet of over 40 Kalmar machines and have always been exceptionally satisfied with their reliability and fuel efficiency. As a result, it was a straightforward decision to once again select Kalmar to support our terminal expansion plans.”

Alexander Esse, Sales Manager, Ports & Terminals at Kalmar Americas, highlighted the strong partnership between Kalmar and Super Terminais, saying, “Super Terminais is a key customer in the Americas region and a partner with whom we have a long history.
