Entrevias Inaugurates Two New Sections of SP-333 Highway, Enhancing Mobility in São Paulo State

(IN BRIEF) Entrevias Concessionária de Rodovias, the operator of 570 kilometers of highways in São Paulo’s Ribeirão Preto and Marília regions, has officially opened two new sections of the SP-333 highway, known as Rodovia Rachid Rayes, spanning from km 337 to km 401 in Marília, central-western São Paulo. The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of key dignitaries, including the Governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio Gomes de Freitas, and other officials. These additions to the highway include the duplication of the road and improvements to quality, such as new shoulders and signage, aimed at enhancing road safety and accommodating the increased traffic volume, which reached 65 million vehicles over the past year. The SP-333 highway plays a crucial role in cargo transportation, and Entrevias has optimized the infrastructure to provide greater comfort and safety for truck drivers, including the addition of 14 new access and return devices. In total, these two sections represent 64 kilometers of roadwork, marking the most extensive phase of improvements since Entrevias began managing the highway concession in 2017. This project generated over 2,000 jobs and contributes to the economic development of the region. Entrevias remains committed to expanding capacity and improving mobility in São Paulo by focusing on operational standards to ensure safety and comfort for all travelers along this vital corridor that connects the north of Paraná and 15 cities within São Paulo’s interior. The completion of these two sections brings the total length of SP-333 duplication delivered by Entrevias to 91.6 kilometers, with an additional 6.5 kilometers near Florínea in the final stages of completion, and together, they represent 98.1 kilometers of road duplication.

(PRESS RELEASE) PARIS, 19-Dec-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — Entrevias Concessionária de Rodovias, operator of 570 kilometers of highways in the regions of Ribeirão Preto and Marília, inaugurated two new sections of the SP-333 highway – Rodovia Rachid Rayes, between km 337 and km 401, in the region of Marília, in the west-central part of the state.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Tarcísio Gomes de Freitas, governor of the State of São Paulo, André Isper, Executive Secretary of the Secretariat of Investment Partnerships of the State of São Paulo, Milton Persoli, General Director of Artesp, Clara Ferraz, CEO of Entrevias, Daniel Becker, partner at Pátria Investimentos and Thierry Besse, institutional director at VINCI Concessions in Brazil.

To support the development of traffic, which reached 35M vehicles in the last 12 months (+ 7 % compared to 2022), Entrevias duplicated the two highway sections and improved quality with new shoulders, vertical and horizontal signage. Furthermore, as SP-333 is a fundamental corridor for cargo traffic, Entrevias enhanced the safety and comfort for truck drivers. All new access and return devices – there are 14 in total – were specially dimensioned and designed to make the movement of heavy trucks easier and safer.

Together, the two new sections total 64 km, representing the largest phase of works achieved since the start of the highway concession in 2017. During the works, the concessionaire generated more than 2,000 direct and indirect jobs, boosting the regional economy.

The inauguration is a major step forward in Entrevias’ mission to bring more capacity and improve mobility in the State of São Paulo, as the highway connects the north of Paraná and crosses 15 cities in the interior of São Paulo. Along with the infrastructure works, Entrevias also implements the best operational standards to guarantee safety and comfort for users who make short and long distance trips.

With the inauguration of the two new sections, Entrevias has already delivered 91.6 kilometers of duplication of SP-333. Another 6.5 kilometers are in the final stages of completion, near the municipality of Florínea. In this section, between km 444.520 and 450.990, two new access and return devices were also built. Together, all sections represent 98.1 kilometers of duplication delivered.

Tarcísio Gomes de Freitas, governor of the State of São Paulo, declared: “It is a great joy to deliver 64 kilometers of highway. We are making a difference in the lives of many people and preventing accidents. People will leave and return safely, parents will be at ease when their children are on this highway. Beautiful work, with quality pavement and well signposted. I want to congratulate Entrevias and everyone who worked on this project”.

Clara Ferraz, CEO of Entrevias, declared: “Entrevias is proud to deliver another 64 kilometers of duplication of SP-333. The highway now has new operational standard, offers more safety and guarantees the flow of crops and industrial production”.
