(PRESS RELEASE) BÆRUM, 9-Jan-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — DNV, the independent energy expert and assurance provider, has announced that its ShipManager software was the target of a cyber attack on the evening of Saturday, January 7th, 2023. In response, DNV shutdown ShipManager’s IT servers and is working with global IT security partners to investigate the incident and implement a technical recovery plan. It is currently unclear if any other software or data by DNV has been affected. Users of ShipManager can continue to use the offline functionality of the software. DNV is working to restore operations as soon as possible.
The ShipManager solution is sold from DNV AS, and DNV is in dialogue with the Norwegian police about the incident.
Affected customers have been informed of a 24/7 support hotline.
