Christian Bako Appointed Vice-President of Marketing & Development, Joins Executive Committee to Drive Growth and Innovation

(IN BRIEF) Christian Bako has been appointed as the Vice-President of Marketing & Development and has joined the Executive Committee of Saint-Gobain. He will report to Anne Hardy, Chief Innovation Officer. Bako’s new role involves accelerating growth, promoting innovation, and enhancing the solutions approach of the Group. He takes over from Cordula Gudduschat, who is now the General Manager of Isover and Rigips Germany. Bako’s career includes roles at Roto Frank, with Sales and General Management positions in Germany, Spain, and France. He joined Saint-Gobain in 2017 as Chief Digital Officer of the Glass business in Germany and later became General Manager of Glassolutions. Over the years, he progressed through various roles, ultimately becoming General Manager for Central Europe.

(PRESS RELEASE) COURBEVOIE, 6-Sep-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — Christian BAKO is appointed Vice-President Marketing & Development at Saint-Gobain. As such, he joins the Executive Committee, reporting to Anne Hardy, Chief Innovation Officer. In his new position, Christian Bako will play a key role to accelerate growth and foster innovation across the Group, as well as to continue to step up our solutions mindset and actions. He replaces Cordula GUDDUSCHAT who becomes General Manager of Isover and Rigips Germany.

Christian Bako studied International Business Administration in Germany and Spain and started his career at Roto Frank, where he held Sales and General Management roles in Germany, Spain and France. He joined Saint-Gobain in 2017 as Chief Digital Officer of the Glass business in Germany, where he subsequently became General Manager of Glassolutions. In 2020, he was appointed General Manager of a High Performance Solutions business for Germany & Austria before becoming, in 2021, General Manager for Central Europe.
