A highly accomplished legal professional, Claire Chapman is currently General Counsel, Company Secretary and Chief People Officer of Hargreaves Lansdown plc. Prior to this role Claire held a number of General Counsel positions over a 20-year period, including at Capita plc, Daily Mail & General Trust plc, Inchcape plc and Thomson Reuters plc.

Claire trained at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, qualifying into the intellectual property practice in 1993. She has a Masters in International Law and is a qualified solicitor (England and Wales) as well as attorney (New York).
