The event will take place in Brussels from October 7 to 12, with the theme “Experience tomorrow’s mobility, today.” VDL Bus & Coach will demonstrate its commitment as a frontrunner in sustainable mobility through various initiatives.

One of the highlights at Busworld will be the presentation of the new generation Citea, a zero-emission bus that was introduced to the public at the Innotrans trade fair in Berlin in September 2022. This new generation Citea embodies VDL Bus & Coach’s long-term strategy and philosophy in sustainable mobility. The company is actively pursuing goals related to Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and developing a comprehensive Zero Emission portfolio in line with the European Green Deal. Another significant showcase at Busworld will be VDL Bus & Coach’s new carbon-neutral production facility in Roeselare, Belgium. This state-of-the-art facility covers more than 20,000 square meters and incorporates sustainable features such as solar panels, underfloor heating, and green roofs. The production of the new generation Citea has already commenced at this facility, with an official opening scheduled for the first half of 2024.
