(PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 3-Feb-2021 — /EuropaWire/ — Inmarsat (LSE: ISAT), the owner and operator of the world’s most reliable global satellite networks, has announced it is offering seafarers an extra 33% talk-time on Fleet Xpress and FleetBroadband ChatCards in celebration of Chinese New Year.
Crew spends months at a time at sea, and being away from family and friends during special events like Chinese New Year can make the distance even harder. The promotion follows on from our successful festive offer over the Christmas and New Year period.
The free call and data minutes are available from 10 February to 17 February on our ChatCard and Fleet Hotspot services. The promotion also gives seafarers a discount on all 1GB and 5-hour allowances purchased from the Fleet Hotspot Portal, which will be available for US$10 instead of the usual US$15.
Dedicated Wi-Fi portal
Powered by our industry-leading service, Fleet Hotspot allows crew the freedom to access a dedicated Wi-Fi portal and manage internet access on their own devices with no impact on a vessel’s operational connectivity.
Crew can place an order by email before 18:00 UTC on 10 February. Order processing will resume on 15 February 2021. Alternatively, ChatCards can be ordered online via the ChatCard Online portal at any time.
