(PRESS RELEASE) STOCKHOLM, 21-Feb-2020 — /EuropaWire/ — Skanska announces divestiture of an office building in Solna, Sweden for about SEK 3.3 billion (more than 300 million euros). Solna United, located next to Solna station in Arenastaden, was acquired by a fund managed by DWS. The property will be transferred in June 2020. Skanska Commercial Development Nordic will record the transaction in the first quarter of 2020.
The recently completed office building has been developed and built by Skanska and is planned to be environmentally certified according to LEED Platinum. The 34,000 square meter building has eleven tenants and all office space has been leased. Its first tenants moved in during the fall 2019.
Solna United, through a long term agreement with Kalmar Energi, is supplied with renewable energy from a photovoltaic panel park harvesting solar energy.
Skanska is one of the leading development and construction companies in the Nordics, with operations in building construction and civil engineering in Sweden, Norway and Finland, and developing residential and commercial property projects in select home markets.
