Skanska signs a contract for the construction of a new hospital building in Turku, Finland

(PRESS RELEASE) STOCKHOLM, 7-Jul-2022 — /EuropaWire/ — Skanska (STO: SKA-B), a world leading project development and construction group, has announced a new contract worth EUR 41 million (~ SEK 430 million) with The Hospital District of Southwest Finland for the construction of a new hospital building in Turku, Finland. The project will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the third quarter of 2022.

The building consists of six storeys and an underground floor, totaling 22,023 gross square meters. The construction will be an addition to the Turku University Hospital Main Hospital area, and it will be used as a unit for psychiatric care.

Construction work is scheduled to start in august 2022 and the project will be completed during the third quarter of 2024.
