(PRESS RELEASE) STOCKHOLM, 12-Apr-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — Skanska divests the new Borås district court building to Vacse for about SEK 320M. The transaction will be recorded by Skanska commercial property development in the second quarter of 2023.

Skanska and Vacse have jointly developed the property, which will have 13 court rooms, of which two are security rooms. Total premises will be approximately 5,100 square meters, distributed over five floors. Construction is scheduled to start in April this year.

The building will have a sedum roof with solar panels on the roof, and recycled red brick will be used for the façade. An external fixed sun protection reduces the need for heating and cooling. By using climate calculations, the project continuously steers towards construction solutions and material choices that reduce the climate footprint.

The intention is to environmentally certify the building according to the international environmental certification BREEAM’s highest level, Outstanding.

Transfer of the building to Vacse will take place in 2025 when the Swedish Courts Administration moves in.

Vacse AB focuses on properties with public tenants. The company is owned by seven pension foundations linked to major Swedish companies, among them Skanska.
