Orange Offers Free Calls and SMS to Turkey and Syria

The company is providing free calls and SMS to Turkey and Syria, as well as free roaming for rescue workers in affected areas. The measures vary by country, with some countries offering free calls and roaming for a specified period of time. The Orange Group is committed to providing ongoing support as the situation evolves.

(PRESS RELEASE) PARIS, 10-Feb-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — Orange S.A. (EPA: ORA), a French multinational telecommunications group, is taking immediate action to support those impacted by Monday’s devastating earthquakes. The company is committed to connecting Turkish and Syrian nationals in Europe with their families, as well as providing support to rescue workers from various European countries currently in Turkey.

In France, Spain, and Belgium, Orange is offering free fixed and mobile calls, as well as free SMS, to Turkey and Syria until February 21st and the end of the month respectively. In Romania, Orange is providing free calls to three emergency numbers set up by the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as free roaming for Romanian rescue workers in Turkey until February 19th.

In Moldova, Orange is offering free international calls to Turkey and Syria, including the emergency numbers, for seven days, and free roaming for Moldovan rescue workers in Turkey. Calls to the Ministry of External Affairs will also be free for Orange customers in need of assistance.

In Slovakia, Orange is offering free roaming for Slovakian rescue workers in Turkey, including 250 minutes, 250 SMS, and 10Gb of mobile data. In Poland, Orange is providing free international calls to Turkey and Syria for seven days, as well as free roaming for Polish customers currently in Turkey and Syria.

The Orange Group remains fully dedicated to supporting the affected territories and populations, and will continue to extend its support as the situation develops.
