OKB GIDROPRESS presented VVER-600 project

14-2-2013 — /europawire.eu/ — On February 1, in the operating organization Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC there was held a presentation by OKB “GIDROPRESS” about its project of a two-loop reactor facility VVER-600.

On the part of GIDROPRESS the project was presented by the Chief designer V. Berkovich, and by A. Chetverikov, V. Petrov – heads of the companies’ departments.

Based on the results of the presentation the project was accepted for consideration by the joint Scientific and Technical Board of the State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM and Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC.

The main advantages of the project is the use of equipment, engineering and technological solutions implemented in reactor projects VVER-1000, VVER-1200, VVER-TOI, as well as the ability to prepare documents for licensing within 1,5 years and the development of complete two-unit NPP project within 2 years.
