JSC Rosoboronexport presents law enforcement, counterterrorist, facility protection and information security assets at Interpolitex 2017

MOSCOW, 18-Oct-2017 — /EuropaWire/ — JSC Rosoboronexport (part of the Rostec State Corporation) will present the entire spectrum of law enforcement, counterterrorist, facility protection and information security assets at Interpolitex 2017 – 21st International State Security Exhibition. The exhibition will be held at VDNKh, Moscow on October 17-20, 2017.

Rosoboronexport’s display located at Stand 1E1-1, Exhibition Hall A will present over 130 pieces of military equipment produced and developed by Russian defense companies.

“At Interpolitex 2017, Rosoboronexport’s delegation will run an active marketing campaign to promote traditional military equipment and will also pursue the policy of image repositioning that has been commenced earlier this year. We will present a wide range of security products designed both for foreign security services and our private partners”, – said Vyacheslav Ovchinnikov, Adviser to Director General of Rosoboronexpor, who will head the company’s delegation to the exhibition.

Rosoboronexport’s new market product called the Russian Security Systems includes a variety of special assets and systems. It includes the Safe City comprehensive computer-aided system, law enforcement vehicles, including aerial ones, special operation vehicles, public order vehicles, non-lethal weapons, police small arms and body armor facilities.

The new area of activities is to the significant extent devoted to counterterrorism means. Foreign customers can be supplied with special small arms, close combat weapons, special armored vehicles, search and inspection equipment, explosives and drug detectors, explosives equipment and robotic systems.

The security systems also include key facility and vast land/sea border security means. Considerable emphasis is placed on counter-UAV efforts.

“Information security is one of the new areas of Rosoboronexport’s activities. Increased frequency of threats emerging in this area induces the development and improvement of cyber security means. Today we are ready to export a wide range of information security products and services utilized by various governmental and military authorities following the successful accomplishment of a variety of tests. We hope that the number of company’s partners in this area will increase to include representatives of both governmental and private institutions representing banking, power and transport sectors”, – Vyacheslav Ovchinnikov added.

At Interpolitex 2017, Rosoboronexport’s official will submit a report on the comprehensive information security tools and systems reinforcing the CSTO collective security system and counteraction to unauthorized infiltrations in key national information systems. The report will take place during the CSTO business council session in Conference Hall 103, Exhibition Hall 75 at 14:00 on October 18, 2017.
