(PRESS RELEASE) COURBEVOIE, 2-Sep-2022 — /EuropaWire/ — Saint-Gobain (EPA: SGO), a French multinational producer of construction, high-performance, and other materials, has announced the divestment of Saint-Gobain Glassolutions Grand Ouest glass processing business in the North-West region of France. The transaction also includes glass installation activities across France and the acquired entity has generated sales of around €60 million in 2021 and employs some 420 people.
This operation is part of Saint-Gobain’s continued business profile optimization strategy, consistent with the “Grow & Impact” plan objectives. It enables Saint-Gobain in France to focus its investments on innovative solutions for sustainable construction, with for instance the recent commercial launch of low carbon glass offer, or the recycling of glass in a closed loop system.
