Gabrielle (Gabby) Costigan appointed as BAE Systems Australia’s next Chief Executive Officer

Farnborough, UK, 29-Aug-2017 — /EuropaWire/ — Gabrielle (Gabby) Costigan, has been appointed as BAE Systems Australia’s next Chief Executive Officer, commencing with the Australian defence company on October 2, 2017 and assuming the role of CEO by March 2018 after a global transition program

Ms Costigan was most recently CEO Asia, Linfox International Group, a major international logistics and supply chain group.

BAE Systems Australia Non-executive Chairman, Dr Ian Watt, said he was very pleased with the appointment of Ms Costigan to the Australian CEO role.

“Gabby has a wealth of experience gained from leadership roles in the corporate logistics and aviation sectors, and this is complemented by her deep experience in the military, including a 20-year career with the Australian Defence Force,” Dr Watt said.

BAE Systems Australia’s current Chief Executive Officer, Glynn Phillips will work with Ms Costigan to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities ahead of his return to the UK where he will take up a new senior role within the company.

Dr Watt complemented Mr Phillips on his contribution to the Australian business since his appointment to the role of Chief Executive in 2015.
