VIENNA, 04-Jul-2018 — /EuropaWire/ — On 27th of June Erste Group Immorent (EGI) and STRABAG Real Estate (SRE) laid the cornerstone for the start of construction work on the business park silo plus in Liesing. Following the success story of the first business park silo one, more than 20,000 m2 of office space are planned in two phases: silo plus and silo next. The two buildings are designed as low-energy buildings and are DGNB[1]-certified for business uses.

The buildings have a flexible space concept offering offices of variable sizes ranging from 310 to 1,800 m2. The concept permits diverse uses such as individual offices, combined offices or open space offices. “All office floors are designed sustainably all the way up to the smallest details. A geothermic heating and cooling system in the basement and photovoltaic system on the roof are environmentally-friendly and also ensure low overhead costs – we paid special attention this aspect,” said Wolfgang Hausner, CEO of Immorent.

“The excellent location near public transport, in particular, to the subway station Perfektastraße, and the easily reached Triester Straße and A2 Südautobahn motorway by car make the property very appealing to commercial tenants,” said SRE Managing Director Erwin Größ describing the advantages of the property. A further 251 parking spaces in the underground or ground-level parking lots make it easy for employees and guests to reach the location, added Größ. The design of the project features a structure reminiscent of a campus with open green spaces between the three individual buildings that can be landscaped differently and relate to the theme of sustainability. “I am happy that silo plus is being built in Liesing. Such projects are very welcome, especially in a district with 55,000 employees!” said Gerald Bischof, District Mayor of Liesing.
