Applike Group Expands to New Headquarters in Hamburg, Combining Innovation with Industrial Design

(IN BRIEF) The Hamburg-based tech firm, the applike group, renowned for mobile app management and distribution, has relocated its headquarters to central Hamburg to accommodate its expanding operations. The move to new offices, managed by Lindner, reflects the company’s commitment to innovation and functionality. The three floors of the new building, designed by BAID architects, boast a modern industrial aesthetic with distinct color schemes, fostering creativity and collaboration among its subsidiaries. Lindner’s expertise ensured optimal acoustics and spatial division, enhancing the work environment. Additionally, Lindner provided comprehensive fit-out services, including furniture, building services, and custom tenant fit-out, tailored to the startup’s dynamic work culture, showcasing a seamless integration of design and functionality.

(PRESS RELEASE) ARNSTORF, 6-May-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — The Hamburg based applike group offers technology for the management and distribution of mobile apps and distributes its own apps and mobile games worldwide. As a result of the company’s growth and in order to meet its ever-changing requirements, the group has now moved to new offices in the centre of Hamburg. As part of the new building, Lindner was responsible for the complete fit-out of the three floors as well as the tenant fit-out on the ground floor.

Digital Innovation in Industrial Style

The applike group has moved from Hamburg’s trendy Schanze district to its new headquarters in an exclusive location on the Alster: Here, the four subsidiaries justDice, adjoe, justtrack and Sunday develop innovative solutions in the areas of mobile user acquisition and ad monetisation on more than 3,000 m2. The new headquarters had to reflect the innovative start-up character of the old location – without compromising on communication, cooperation and functionality. Architects BAID designed a modern, individual colour and theme concept in an industrial style for each of the three floors.

Focus on Acoustics and Separation

Prior to construction, the Lindner Group carried out extensive acoustic simulations to ensure that, despite the planned open-plan offices, the room’s acoustics would be pleasant without disturbing background noise. The three floors are characterised by a balanced mix of work and relaxation zones, arranged in a garage-like structure. The necessary separation is provided by dry walls and Lindner Life glass partitions, some of which are fitted with foil. Aluminium tubular frame doors and wooden doors provide access to the meeting rooms. Special Lindner ceiling elements were also installed in the building to give the otherwise rather plain rooms an eye-catching look: The slatted ceilings with coloured acoustic baffles are not only a visual highlight, but also significantly improve the room acoustics.

From Kitchenette to Building Services

In addition to partition walls, doors and ceiling systems, the Lindner Group also provided other products and services to make BAID’s vision a reality. For example, Lindner supplied the furniture in the open-plan kitchens and the washbasins and wall units in the toilets. Another highlight is the room-filling seating platforms in the assembly hall, which provide generous seating for larger gatherings and special occasions. Lindner also proved its worth in the field of building services: The entire ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems in the company headquarters were supplied by Lindner. This was tailored to the building, is based on the latest technology and is particularly efficient. Painting, flooring and tiling work completed the interior fit-out.

Customised Tenant Fit-out on Top

In addition to the contract for the complete fit-out, Lindner’s Tenant Fit-out – Design & Build department was also awarded the follow-up contract for the tenant fit-out on the ground floor of the building in 2022. This means that Lindner is also responsible for the complete construction management and implementation of BAID’s office concept. Individually tailored to the start-up’s way of working, functional and open-plan office spaces were created that allow for both quiet and collaborative working. As the tenant fit-out took place while the floors above were in use, special attention had to be paid to noise and transport issues.
