University of Liverpool Professor Susan Dawson appointed independent non-executive director at Pets at Home Group Plc

LIVERPOOL, 23-May-2018 — /EuropaWire/ — Professor Susan Dawson has been appointed as an independent non-executive director at Pets at Home Group Plc, the UK’s leading pet care business.

Susan, who is also Dean of the University’s Institute of Veterinary Science, has strong Board experience relating to the veterinary world, including as Senior Vice President of the British Small Animal Veterinary Association, a Council Member for the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, and a Founder Member of the Veterinary Schools Council.

Professor Dawson said: “I am delighted to be joining Pets at Home Group PLC and look forward to bringing my veterinary knowledge and experience to the board. Susan will officially take up the role after the FTSE 250 company’s Annual General Meeting on 12 July. On appointment, she will become Chair of the Corporate and Social Responsibility Committee and the Pets Before Profit Committee. She will also be a member of the Remuneration Committee and the Nominations and Governance Committee.

This new non-executive role is in addition to Susan’s current position as Dean of the Institute of Veterinary Science.

Pets at Home Group Plc is the UK’s leading pet care business that also operates a UK leading small animal veterinary business, with 465 first opinion practices as well as four specialty referral centres.
