Leicestershire, 28-4-2015 — /EuropaWire/ — Loughborough remains one of the top 15 universities in the UK, holding onto its 13th place in The Complete University Guide league table for 2016.
The announcement comes just days after Loughborough was crowned University of the Year at the Whatuni Student Choice Awards.
The league table is based on ten measures: student satisfaction, research quality, research intensity, entry standards, student to staff ratio; spending on academic services; spending on student facilities; good honours degrees achieved; graduate prospects and completion. It includes 126 institutions.
Loughborough also remains the leading university in the East Midlands, and features in the top ten nationally for 11 subject listings, taking first place in Librarianship and Information Management.
Speaking about the 2016 guide Professor Robert Allison, Loughborough’s Vice Chancellor said: “I am delighted that Loughborough has retained its position as a top UK university. We take great pride in the all-round student experience we offer at Loughborough, the quality of education we provide and our world-class research and innovation.”
