MUNICH, 5-3-2015 — /EuropaWire/ — Burda’s central advertising marketer BCN (Burda Community Network) is expanding its management team: By 1 July 2015 at the latest, Stefan Zarnic will take on the newly created position of Director Next Media. He will report directly to manager Andreas Schilling.
In Stefan Zarnic, BCN has secured a proven digital and multi-channel expert with more than fifteen years’ experience in digital marketing. The 45-year-old joins the company from InteractiveMedia (Deutsche Telekom), where he is currently Vice President Publisher Management and Member of the Management Board and responsible for the strategic expansion of the publisher portfolio through concept marketing, audience solutions and real-time advertising. He also supports multi-channel marketing and the development of technological partnerships.
Zarnic joined InteractiveMedia in 2012 as Vice President Audience & Network to expand the division of the same name with a focus on real-time advertising and to develop products for data-driven advertising/targeting. Before this, he was Director Marketing & Sales and Member of the Management Board at MEDIA GROUP ONE in Munich, where he developed new offerings for online brand staging. Stefan Zarnic is also well acquainted with BCN and Hubert Burda Media: From 2000 to 2005, he was Head of Cross Media at Burda’s own event company, STARnetONE, and held various positions at BCN from 2006 to 2009, most recently Head of Digital Solutions.
Stefan Zarnic studied business and information science at the Freie Universität Berlin. Since 2013, he has been the chairman of the real-time advertising focus group in the Bundesverband Digitale Wirtschaft (Federal Association of Digital Business).
