(PRESS RELEASE) STOCKHOLM, 10-Mar-2019 — /EuropaWire/ — Swedish financial group Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB has announced that its SEB Sverigefond Småbolag C/R has emerged as best small cap fund winner in the Morningstar Fund Awards on 9 March, 2020. According to the jury, the fund was an outstanding winner of 5 years performance and an overall better performance than average.
Commenting on the accolade, Per Trygg, Portfolio Manager, said:
“It is fantastic getting one of the most prestigious awards in the business. It is backward looking for five years which is an acknowledgement for us serving our customer with high return for a long period”.
SEB Sverigefond Småbolag C/R’s strong performance lies along the lines of consistent and long-term investment philosophy with focus on high quality companies with expected good increase. The fund has also benefited from the low-interest environment where high quality companies with promising future have been rewarded in the stock market.
Per Trygg added further: “We expect that small cap will continue to outperform the overall stock market over time.”
The award was given to Per Trygg, Kristofer Antonsson and Daniel Klint, all from the small cap team, from Jonas Lindmark of Morningstar. Furthermore, SEB Hållbarhetsfond Sverige was also nominated however not rewarded.
