ABP’s Ipswich sponsored the popular Trianon Music Group’s Twelfth Night Christmas concert

A packed audience enjoys the ABP-sponsored Trianon’s Twelfth Night concert

LONDON, 19-Jan-2018 — /EuropaWire/ — ABP’s Ipswich team helped ensure an appropriate close to the festive season by sponsoring the popular Trianon Music Group’s Twelfth Night Christmas concert and bringing the gift of classical music to the wider community.

The Trianon symphony orchestra and choir performed at the Ipswich Corn Exchange on Saturday, 6 January to celebrate the twelfth night in front of a packed hall. Conducted by Christopher Green, the concert included a great variety of pieces, ranging from Bob Chilcott’s The Twelve Days of Christmas to Christmas to the Annie Lennox song Into the West from Lord of the Rings and a selection from The Lion King.

Trianon buskers welcomed and entertained the audience as they arrived for the concert to raise money for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), one of the charities that Trianon is supporting in 2018.

Paul Ager, ABP Divisional Port Manager, East Coast, said: “Supporting and nurturing the communities surrounding our ports is important to us, which is why we regularly raise funds for charity and donate to charitable causes.

“We hope that by supporting this Christmas concert we have helped bring the gift of classical music to many individuals who wouldn’t have otherwise had the chance to experience it and have set the tone for an inspiring and successful new year.”

Rebecca Conway, Publicity Officer of Trianon, said: “We are delighted that ABP Ipswich sponsored our January concert and greatly appreciate the support provided.”

Trianon Music Group is a non-professional symphony orchestra and choir, with 220 regularly performing members, which was originally formed in 1959.

The Group performs concerts of varying scale each year across local venues to help raise funds for local projects and charities as well as bringing the gift of classical music to a wide audience.
