(IN BRIEF) In accordance with Danish law on employee representation, Vestas Group’s Danish companies have conducted regular elections to select representatives for the Board of Directors. Michael Abildgaard, Senior Shop Steward at Vestas Manufacturing A/S, and Claus Christensen, Service Engineer at Vestas Northern Europe A/S, have been re-elected to serve on the Board for the next four years. These employee-elected representatives will officially join the Board of Directors of Vestas Wind Systems A/S following the Annual General Meeting scheduled for April 9, 2024. As per the Danish Companies Act, employee-elected board members hold the same rights, responsibilities, and duties as shareholder-elected members, contributing to inclusive governance within the organization.

About employee-elected board members
According to the Danish Companies Act, the employees of Vestas Northern Europe A/S, Vestas Manufacturing A/S, Vestas Wind Systems A/S, and Vestas Development A/S are entitled to be jointly represented by two employees in the Board of Directors of Vestas Wind Systems A/S. Employee-elected board members serve for a statutory four-year term and have the same rights, duties, and responsibilities as shareholder-elected board members.
