Vestas Secures 254 MW Wind Turbine Order for Confidential Australian Project

(IN BRIEF) Vestas, the global wind turbine manufacturer, has clinched a significant order for 254 MW to power an undisclosed wind project in Australia. The order encompasses 41 V162-6.2 MW wind turbines sourced from Vestas’ EnVentus platform. In addition to supplying the turbines, Vestas will undertake the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) responsibilities for the project. The contract also includes a 30-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement aimed at optimizing the long-term performance of the wind energy assets. The delivery of Vestas’ wind turbines is slated for the fourth quarter of 2024, with commissioning set to commence in the fourth quarter of 2025. The specific project and customer details have not been disclosed.

(PRESS RELEASE) HAMBURG, 27-Dec-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — Vestas has received a 254 MW order to power an undisclosed wind project in Australia. The order consists of 41 V162-6.2 MW wind turbines from the EnVentus platform.

Vestas will also deliver the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of the turbines, as well as a 30-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement, designed to optimise the performance of the assets.

Delivery of Vestas’ wind turbines is expected to occur in the fourth quarter of 2024, with commissioning to commence in the fourth quarter of 2025.
