ENGIE’s North American Subsidiary Chooses Vestas Turbines for 270 MW Wind Project

(IN BRIEF) Vestas has secured a 270 MW order to supply 60 V163-4.5 MW wind turbines for an undisclosed wind project owned by an ENGIE North America subsidiary in the USA. The order includes turbine supply, delivery, and commissioning, along with a twenty-year service agreement. Delivery is expected to start in Q3 2024, and commissioning is scheduled for Q1 2025. Both Vestas and ENGIE are committed to advancing the energy transition in North America through this collaboration.

(PRESS RELEASE) PORTLAND, OR, United States, 23-Nov-2023 — /EuropaWire/ —  Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH: VWS), a Danish global leader in sustainable energy solutions, has secured a 270 MW order to supply wind turbines for an undisclosed wind project owned by an ENGIE North America subsidiary in the USA. The order comprises 60 V163-4.5 MW wind turbines and includes the delivery, installation, and commissioning of the turbines. Additionally, Vestas will provide a twenty-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement to ensure the efficient performance of the project.

Laura Beane, President of Vestas North America, expressed enthusiasm for collaborating with ENGIE to expand their wind energy portfolio in the United States. “We look forward to working with ENGIE as it expands its wind energy portfolio across the United States and continues to advance the clean energy transition. The V163-4.5 MW is our newest high-capacity factor turbine and is optimised for low to medium wind speeds making it ideally suited for the U.S. market.”

Turbine delivery is set to commence in the third quarter of 2024, with commissioning scheduled for the first quarter of 2025.
