(PRESS RELEASE) OSLO, 19-Dec-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — AF Gruppen (LON: 0DH7), a leading contracting and industrial group and the 3rd largest civil engineering and construction company in Norway, announces that its subsidiary, Kanonaden Entreprenad, has been awarded a contract to construct and install two new series compensation stations for Svenska kraftnät, with work performed in collaboration with Hitachi Energy. The contract, valued at approximately SEK 219 million (excluding VAT), will see the establishment of series compensation stations at Olingan SC in Jämtland and Gräsmark SC in Värmland. These stations will reinforce the existing CL26 transmission line, resulting in increased power supply reliability, reduced outage risks, and a positive environmental impact.
As part of the turnkey agreement, Kanonaden will oversee construction, assembly, and installation activities.
