AF Gruppen Secures SEK 134 Million Contract for Busör Sewage Treatment Plant Modernization

(IN BRIEF) AF Gruppen, a construction and engineering company, has been awarded a contract worth SEK 134 million (excluding VAT) for the construction and modernization of the Busör sewage treatment plant in Halmstad municipality. The project, undertaken as a turnkey contract for Laholmsbuktens VA AB, involves upgrading the existing facility, which is over 50 years old, to ensure its effective operation and compliance with future requirements. AF Gruppen’s expertise in water and drainage facilities in Southern Sweden positions them well for this project. The project planning will commence immediately, followed by a construction phase, with an expected completion date in June 2026.

(PRESS RELEASE) OSLO, 4-Oct-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — AF Gruppen has been awarded the contract to build and modernise Busör sewage treatment plant in Halmstad municipality. The value of the contract is SEK 134 million excluding VAT.

The client is Laholmsbuktens VA AB, and the contract will be carried out as a turnkey contract.

Busör sewage treatment plant is located north of Halmstad The existing plant is more than 50 years old, so to secure that the plant runs effectively and according to future requirements an expansion and modernization is needed.
