(IN BRIEF) Viessmann Climate Solutions has unveiled the Vitocal 200-A intelligent energy, a new monoblock air-to-water heat pump developed and manufactured in Europe and designed for efficient residential heating across single-family and two-family homes. The new heat pump, previously known in the industry as the “masked heat pump,” supports flow temperatures of up to 75 °C, making it suitable for existing radiator systems, and offers an output range of 4 to 12 kW. It uses the natural refrigerant R290 and is designed to combine sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and strong system integration. The launch also introduces One Base Intelligence, an upgrade to the Viessmann One Base platform that intelligently connects products, energy flows, and extensions. Viessmann has focused on installer-friendly features, including compact outdoor units that fit on a Euro pallet, a weight of around 100 kg, integrated hydraulic components, configured indoor units, and the Universal Controller intelligent energy for flexible heat pump and energy management applications. The Vitocal 200-A intelligent energy can reach flow temperatures of up to 75 °C, making it suitable for use in existing buildings with conventional radiators. Its output range of 4 to 12 kW is intended for common applications in single-family and two-family homes. The use of the natural refrigerant R290 and strong efficiency performance support more sustainable operation while maintaining a balance between performance and cost-effectiveness.

Viessmann Climate Solutions has also placed strong emphasis on easier handling and installation. The new outdoor units are designed to reduce complexity on site, fit on a Euro pallet, and weigh around 100 kg. Configured indoor units in several versions are intended to simplify planning, while important hydraulic components have been integrated into the outdoor unit to reduce installation work.

The company is also expanding flexibility through the Universal Controller intelligent energy. The controller can be used as a heat pump controller for the Vitocal 200-A intelligent energy with adaptable on-site hydraulic connections. It can also be used separately from the heat pump as a control component for Viessmann Energy Management, including for the integration of third-party photovoltaic systems.

The Vitocal 200-A intelligent energy has also received recognition for its design, having been awarded the iF Design Award. Its enclosed grille, streamlined appearance, and discreet visual profile are designed to blend into different architectural settings while concealing technical components and the noise-optimized fan.
