New Nordic Security Group Varna Launches with Six Specialist Providers and an Active Acquisition Strategy

(IN BRIEF) Triton Partners has created Varna, a new Nordic group in perimeter protection and technical security, through the Triton Smaller Mid-Cap Fund. The platform brings together six specialist companies active in installation, service and maintenance across physical perimeter protection, access control and surveillance. Built on a decentralised model, Varna allows the founding businesses to retain operational independence while gaining access to capital, resources and strategic support for further expansion. The group is entering a fragmented Nordic market where demand is being shaped by geopolitical developments, digital transformation and tighter regulatory requirements. Varna will be led by Robin Boheman, former CEO of Instalco, whose experience in building decentralised installation platforms is expected to support the group’s growth strategy. The investment follows Triton Partners’ track record of building similar installation and infrastructure services platforms across Northern Europe.

(PRESS RELEASE) STOCKHOLM, 15-Jun-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Triton Partners has announced the creation of Varna, a new Nordic group focused on perimeter protection and technical security, through the Triton Smaller Mid-Cap Fund. The group has been established in partnership with six specialist companies providing installation, service and maintenance across physical perimeter protection, access control and surveillance.

Headquartered around a decentralised operating model, Varna brings together established businesses with strong local market positions and a shared focus on high-value, service-led security solutions for public-sector and commercial customers. The group initially consists of Telehantering, Landströms Larmcenter, IQ, Låshantering, IP Security Scandinavia and Dan Group Alarm Syd. From its launch, Varna enters the market as a significant Nordic platform with the scale, capital access and sector expertise to support further expansion.

The companies joining Varna will continue to operate with local independence, while benefiting from the broader resources, investment capacity and strategic support available through the group. This structure is designed to preserve entrepreneurial decision-making close to customers and operations, while giving the businesses stronger foundations for accelerated growth.

Varna has been formed with an active acquisition strategy in a Nordic perimeter protection and technical security market that remains fragmented but is experiencing increasing demand. Growth in the sector is being supported by a shifting geopolitical environment, continued digitalisation of security technologies and more demanding regulatory requirements affecting public infrastructure, industry and commercial real estate.

The launch follows Triton Partners’ established approach of building decentralised installation and infrastructure services platforms across the Nordics and Northern Europe. Triton Partners has previously developed similar groups in fragmented markets, including Eleda in Sweden, Habeo and Lohkare Infra in Finland and bluu unit in Germany. Varna also draws on Triton Partners’ wider experience in the security sector through investments such as Keenfinity, Acre and Wavelynx.

Varna will be led by Robin Boheman as Chief Executive Officer. Boheman most recently served as CEO of Instalco, the Nasdaq Stockholm-listed Nordic installation group that operates under a comparable decentralised model. Before becoming CEO in 2021, he held senior roles at Instalco including Head of M&A and Chief Financial Officer. His appointment gives Varna leadership experience in building a decentralised platform from inception to scale.

Daniel Björklund, Partner at Triton Partners, said the Nordic market for perimeter protection and technical security combines long-term structural growth with significant fragmentation and a need for professional ownership. He described Varna as a strong example of Triton Partners’ approach to working with local market leaders in attractive segments and helping them develop into larger, more resilient groups. He added that the founding businesses are led by entrepreneurs seeking a partner for a faster growth journey, and said Robin Boheman’s experience with similar platform-building models makes him well suited to lead Varna’s next phase.

Robin Boheman said he looks forward to developing Varna in close partnership with the entrepreneurs behind the founding companies and with Triton Partners. He noted that the Nordic market is undergoing structural change as technical specifications rise, security technology becomes more digital and regulatory demands increase, while the market itself remains fragmented. Boheman said Varna’s model will keep everyday decisions with the operating businesses closest to customers and technology, while the group will provide support in areas that are difficult to build alone. He added that his previous experience with a similar growth journey can be an asset for the entrepreneurs joining the group.

The formation of Varna represents another platform investment by the Triton Smaller Mid-Cap Fund, which applies Triton Partners’ investment strategy to lower mid-market companies across Northern Europe. The fund focuses on businesses in Triton Partners’ core sectors of Business Services, Industrial Tech and Healthcare.
