(PRESS RELEASE) HELSINKI, 16-Jun-2020 — /EuropaWire/ — Wärtsilä, the leader in smart technologies and complete lifecycle solutions for the marine and energy markets, has announced a change in the company’s reporting languages. From now on the company will only use Finnish and English as official languages when reporting on its regulatory disclosures. By doing so, the company will no longer use Swedish as a reporting language as the aim is to ensure speed and efficiency in its financial reporting and in the publishing of releases. As part of the decision to drop the Swedish language is the low utilisation of materials produced in that language. As a result Wärtsilä’s disclosure policy, originally approved on 23 September 2010, has already been updated to reflect the change in reporting languages.
All Swedish language versions of communications material and documents, such as stock exchange releases, press releases, presentations, as well as interim and annual reports, will be available on Wärtsilä’s website until the end of this year, after which the corporate Swedish website will be closed.
The updated disclosure policy is attached to this release and is also available on Wärtsilä’s website at www.wartsila.com/investors.
