Vincent Jamin Appointed Administrative Director of Eurojust, EU’s Criminal Justice Cooperation Agency

(IN BRIEF) The College of Eurojust has appointed Vincent Jamin as the new Administrative Director of the agency. Jamin, a French prosecutor with 25 years of experience in criminal justice, has held various positions at Eurojust since 2010, including heading the Operations Department since 2018. As Administrative Director, Jamin will be responsible for the daily administration and implementation of organizational developments, including Eurojust’s extended mandate and digitalization efforts. He will begin his role on October 1, 2023, serving a four-year term.

(PRESS RELEASE) THE HAGUE, 6-Sep-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — The College of Eurojust appointed Mr Vincent Jamin as new Administrative Director of the Agency. Mr Jamin is a French prosecutor by profession. He brings with him 25 years of experience in the area of criminal justice, ranging from assignments in the French Ministry of Justice (2003-2010) to several high-level positions at Eurojust since 2010. Before becoming Administrative Director of Eurojust, he served as the head of the Agency’s Operations Department since 2018.

As the Administrative Director of the European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation, Mr Jamin is responsible for the day-to-day administration and implementation of key organisational developments, such as the recent extension of Eurojust’s mandate and its comprehensive digitalisation efforts. He will take up his duties on 1 October 2023, serving a term of four years.

Selection procedure and Administrative Director role

The Administrative Director is appointed by the College of Eurojust, which is the Agency’s highest decision-making body, following an extensive selection procedure. The Administrative Director of Eurojust oversees the administration and staff management, ensuring full support to the Agency’s operational work. This includes providing administrative support to the President and Vice-Presidents, and implementing decisions taken by the College and Executive Board of Eurojust. Moreover, the Administrative Director steers the preparation of all major reporting documents, action plans, financial planning and new strategies.
