SWINDON, 12-Apr-2018 — /EuropaWire/ — STFC and EPSRC have launched a joint funding call with Cancer Research UK that aims to drive forward earlier detection of cancer.
The new funding called ‘Early Detection Innovation Sandpit and Award’ is available to researchers, clinicians and health professionals and will catalyse new multidisciplinary collaborations.
All applicants will need to attend a sandpit workshop that will provide networking opportunities, generate new and innovate research ideas, and test the feasibility of a candidate’s proposal. The latest workshop will focus on the theme of liquid biopsy: the potential of molecular markers in the blood or other bodily fluids to be used to detect disease state.
Visit the Cancer Research UK website for more information and to apply.
