(IN BRIEF) SWIO, a joint venture by mobility service provider Losch and infrastructure engineering firm SOCOM, is partnering with EVBox, a leading electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions provider, to introduce high-speed EV charging stations in Luxembourg. SWIO has already installed two EVBox Troniq High Power DC fast charging stations with outputs of 320kW and 400kW. EVBox’s innovative in-house installation method simplifies the grid connection process. SWIO plans to deploy multiple EVBox Troniq High Power charging stations across Luxembourg, transforming these areas into important charging hubs for EV drivers. The collaboration aims to enhance the accessibility and convenience of EV charging in the country.
(PRESS RELEASE) AMSTERDAM, 18-Jan-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — EVBox, a leading provider of charging solutions, and SWIO, a prominent electric vehicle (EV) charging management solution provider, have joined forces to introduce the fastest charging stations in Luxembourg. This strategic partnership aims to enhance the EV charging experience and promote sustainable mobility in the country.
SWIO, a joint venture initiated by Losch, a mobility service provider, and SOCOM, an infrastructure engineering firm, is committed to encouraging EV adoption in Luxembourg. As part of this initiative, SWIO has already installed two cutting-edge EVBox Troniq High Power DC fast charging stations with impressive outputs of 320kW and 400kW.
One of the key innovations brought by EVBox is an advanced installation feature designed to simplify the grid connection process. This innovative in-house method, developed after extensive field testing and feedback from installers and customers, offers a modular design, a new base frame, and guiding templates. Installers now have enhanced flexibility and control when handling heavy power cables during the installation process. The plate base is initially placed into the ground, streamlining the grid connection, eliminating the need for complex plinths, and optimizing space for installers, thereby reducing errors and delays. The charging station can then be easily mounted onto the base, ensuring hassle-free installation for all EVBox Troniq High Power charging stations in the field.
This collaboration represents the beginning of SWIO’s mission to make fast charging more accessible across Luxembourg. SWIO has plans to deploy multiple EVBox Troniq High Power charging stations throughout the country, transforming the selected areas into vital charging hubs for EV drivers.
Marvin Rassel, Coordinator at SWIO, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “At SWIO, we focus on providing tailor-made solutions for electric cars, and EVBox’s DC charging solutions have given our prospects the opportunity to fast charge on-the-go in public spaces. We are excited about the upcoming installations of EVBox Troniq Modular and EVBox Troniq High Power, which will enable powerful and scalable fast charging in Luxembourg.”
With this collaboration, EVBox and SWIO are poised to play a pivotal role in accelerating the growth of EV infrastructure and facilitating the transition to sustainable transportation in Luxembourg.
