(PRESS RELEASE) LOUVAIN-LA-NEUVE, 29-Aug-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — The Carmeuse Huron Operation continued their regional, annual support of 5K races with the Abbey Rose Foundation 5K Trail Run/Walk & Kids Fun Run.

This being the third race in the Huron 5K Series, the Abbey Rose Foundation 5K Trail Run/Walk & Kids Fun Run, was held on August 12th at beautiful Fabens Park in Huron Ohio. Seventy-nine racers traveled over paved paths, grassy areas, through woods and ravines on a sunny, muggy morning.

Several tots completed the Kids Fun Run.  Carmeuse Americas Huron Operation provided post-race treats and bottled water for the volunteers, participants, and their families.  Huron Site Coordinator, Christine Mollison, walked the 5K finishing in 54 minutes.

Money raised in this race goes to the Abbey Rose Foundation, which is dedicated to aiding in the prevention of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome and to providing hope and comfort to families grieving the loss of a child. Abbey Rose founders, Sam and Suzi Kudrin, shared their gratitude for all that Carmeuse has done to support the Abbey Rose Foundation 5K.
