7-3-2013 — /europawire.eu/ — On 28 February 2013, VTB stock was upgraded to Quote List A, 1st level (A1 MICEX) on the Moscow Exchange.
A1 is the top level quotation list on MICEX. The stock included in this list is eligible for pension investments from the Russian Pension Fund managed by an asset management company as well as investments from non-state pension funds.
VTB shares have been traded on the MICEX stock market since 2007.
“The A1 listing will significantly expand VTB’s investor base,” President and Chairman of the VTB Management Board Andrey Kostin said. “Investments from Russian non-state pension funds, asset management companies working with the Russian Pension Fund, and other major investors should certainly increase VTB Bank’s capitalisation.”
“Improving our listing procedures has produced the first results,” said Alexander Afanasyev, Chief Executive Officer at MICEX. “High quality issuers like VTB entering top quote lists significantly expands the opportunities of all investors.”
FOR REFERENCE:
Quotation lists are lists of securities admitted for trading on the Moscow Exchange Stock Market (operated by MICEX). Each security on the list links to a section containing details. The Quotation List A, 1st level is the most prestigious. Issuers included in that list meet the highest requirements concerning liquidity and transparency of operation and the highest corporate governance standards. Therefore, an inclusion in this list reflects the high reliability of the issuer.
