A person, not working in the Finnish Defence Forces, can receive this medal of honour for his extra ordinary and valuable work for the Defence Forces. Markus Alholm’s military rank is major (retr). After his military career he has held different positions of trust in the Finnish Defence Forces.
Markus holds also a Master’s degree in Economics from the Swedish School of Economics in Helsinki and he has over 20 years of international experience in sales & marketing, top management consulting and company management in various industrial sectors. Since November 2012 he has been the President of Alstom Finland, Managing Director of ALSTOM Finland Oy and responsible for Power sales in Finland.
