BRUSSELS, 16-6-2015 — /EuropaWire/ — The European University Association (EUA) is calling on Europe’s universities to take part in EUA’s UNI-SET Universities Survey, which will provide a mapping of Europe’s universitybased research and education programmes at Master and Doctorate level in the field of energy.
The UNI-SET project is taking forward EUA’s work in the field of energy through the European Platform of Universities in Energy Research and Education (EUA-EPUE). The information gathered with the survey will help develop EUA-EPUE as an interface between European universities and the European institutions, and also advocate on behalf of the university sector on energy matters.
The survey, which is the first step of the project, will identify opportunities for universities to engage in new research projects tackling energy-related challenges and also aims to foster the creation of new Master programmes according to the evolution of knowledge and technologies for better employability of university graduates. By these means, UNI-SET aims to reduce the fragmentation of European universities’ research, education and training capacities in the energy field.
EUA encourages universities across Europe to ensure they are leading Europe’s transition to a low-carbon society and participate in the first phase of the project through the ‘UNI-SET Universities Survey’.
