Telefónica Honored at Madrid Stock Exchange on 100th Anniversary

(PRESS RELEASE) MADRID, 20-Apr-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Telefónica was the Guest of Honor at the Madrid Stock Exchange on the same day that marks the 100th anniversary of its  foundation as a company, which took place on April 19, 1924. On the occasion of this anniversary, its Chairman, José María Álvarez-Pallete, performed the traditional ringing of the bell in this tribute to a centenary company that has been listed since its beginnings.

In the presence of the CEO of BME, Javier Hernani, and 150 guests from the economic and stock market spheres, Álvarez-Pallete pointed out that “the constant support of our shareholders has been one of the fundamental pillars in the evolution and success of Telefónica. The event ended with the presentation of a commemorative plaque to Telefónica by BME.
