Telefónica Honored at Madrid Stock Exchange on 100th Anniversary

(PRESS RELEASE) MADRID, 20-Apr-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Telefónica was the Guest of Honor at the Madrid Stock Exchange on the same day that marks the 100th anniversary of its  foundation as a company, which took place on April 19, 1924. On the occasion of this anniversary, its Chairman, José María Álvarez-Pallete, performed the traditional ringing of the bell in this tribute to a centenary company that has been listed since its beginnings.

In the presence of the CEO of BME, Javier Hernani, and 150 guests from the economic and stock market spheres, Álvarez-Pallete pointed out that “the constant support of our shareholders has been one of the fundamental pillars in the evolution and success of Telefónica.
