Sonaca Group announced over 10% growth in first semester of 2013, YoY

Gosselies, Belgium, 11-10-2013 — /EuropaWire/ — The Sonaca Group recorded very good results during the first semester of 2013, compared with the same period in 2012.

More specifically, the results are the following:
–       A delivery of 557 shipsets to our customers, against 507 shipsets in 2012, or a 10% growth;
–       An operating income amounting to more than EUR 185 million, or a 13% increase compared with the first semester of 2012 (EUR 163 million);
–       A Group’s net profit of EUR 8 million, compared to a EUR 1 million loss over the same period in 2012;
–       Our subsidiaries, mainly the Canadian and Brazilian ones, contributed significantly to the good results (for more than EUR 2 million).
The financial year results should show an improvement compared to 2012, despite a slightly less busy second semester due to the changes in the aircraft manufacturers’ work rates and a lower activity level during July, August and December.

“Sonaca’s very good results over the first semester confirm the soundness and durability of the company’s recovery plan launched in 2008. However, it is essential, that we continue and accelerate the improvement of the company’s performance in all the Group’s plants, and more particularly in Gosselies”, Bernard Delvaux, CEO of the Sonaca Group, said.
