Skanska to invest in 12,000 square meters office building in Prague, Czech Republic

STOCKHOLM, 19-Sep-2017 — /EuropaWire/ — Skanska invests EUR 27M, about SEK 260M in the office project Praga Studios in Prague, Czech Republic. The seven-floor building will offer a total leasable area of about 12,000 square meters.

Praga Studios is located in Karlín, a dynamically developing district of Prague. It will not only be a modern business center, but also offer the public a venue for various cultural and social events. In addition to office spaces, the building will include a spacious, publicly accessible atrium.

Praga Studios is expected to receive LEED Platinum and WELL certifications. LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) focuses on energy consumption and sustainable materials selection, while WELL is based on how the built environment affects people.

Construction has begun and the office building is scheduled for completion in the second quarter 2019.
