Neste’s total charity amount for 2015 divided between Unicef, John Nurminen and Finnish Red Cross

ESPOO, 7-1-2016 — /EuropaWire/ — We used the money usually spend on sending out Christmas cards and Christmas gifts for charity, again this year. The total charity amount for 2015, €20,000, was divided between three recipients: Unicef’s emergency found, John Nurminen foundation’s The Clean Baltic Sea -project, and Finnish Red Cross’s The Disaster Relief Fund.

The size of the donations made to each organization was decided on the basis of votes cast at www.neste.com.  A total of 11,642 votes were cast and based on the votes cast, our donation was distributed as follows:

John Nurminen Foudation
79% of votes €15,800

Finnish Red Cross
13% of votes – €2,600

Unicef
8% of votes – €1,600
