29-7-2013 — /EuropaWire/ — The annual growth rate of total credit extended to the domestic private sector stood at -4.1% in June 2013, from -3.7% in the previous month. The net flow of total credit to the domestic private sector was negative, amounting to EUR 212 million (June 2012: positive net flow of EUR 852 million).
Credit to enterprises
The net flow of credit to enterprises, in June 2013, was negative, amounting to EUR 63 million (June 2012: positive net flow of EUR 1,067 million), and the annual growth rate of credit stood at -4.9%, compared with -3.9% in the previous month. In particular, the annual growth rate of credit to non-financial corporations stood at -4.2%, from -3.4% in the previous month, while the net flow of credit was negative and equal to EUR 70 million (June 2012: positive net flow of EUR 727 million). The annual growth rate of credit to insurance corporations and other financial intermediaries stood at -15.1% in June 2013, from -10.1% in May 2013.
Credit to sole proprietors and unincorporated partnerships
The net flow of credit to sole proprietors and unincorporated partnerships was positive, amounting to EUR 12 million (June 2012: positive net flow of EUR 49 million) and its annual rate of change stood at -1.6%, from -1.3% in May 2013.
Credit to individuals and private non-profit institutions
In June 2013, the net flow of credit to individuals and private non-profit institutions was negative, amounting to EUR 161 million (June 2012: negative net flow of EUR 264 million), and its annual growth rate stood at -3.6%, compared with -3.7% in May 2013.
