1-4-2013 — /europawire.eu/ — Following the change of government in Slovenia, Mr Uroš Čufer has been appointed Minister of Finance of the Republic of Slovenia and took office on 21 March 2013, succeeding Mr Janez Šušteršič. Mr Čufer also becomes EIB Governor for the Republic of Slovenia.
From 2004 until his appointment as Minister of Finance, Mr Čufer served as Director of the Management Centre for Financial Management at NLB.
Prior to that, from 1999, he worked for the Bank of Slovenia, as Director of the Analysis and Research Department.
He holds a Doctorate in Economics from the University of Paris.
